Sophie has one Sponsor I am Sophie.  I came from California with my friend Sophie. We both ended up at the same shelter in California, and were put in a kennel together. We became friends there and learned to rely on each other. The shelter was a scary place, and for many dogs like us that would have been the end of the line.  Buy a really great group of people found out about us and decided to rescue us. They worked really hard and got a lot of help from so many wonderful people.  They raised money to build us a town house with a big play yard and then they flew us to Texas. We even got to take a little vacation at the beach when we got here. We love it here with Jay and Ricky, and we got off to a great start in our new lives. They built us a beautiful new townhome with a big yard for us to play in. Everything was just great. I’m older and more experienced than Erika, but she got so she just wouldn’t listen to me any more. I guess maybe she thought I was pushing her around just a little bit. So one day we got really crossways with each other, and Ricky and Jay decided we’d both be happier if we didn’t have to live together any more. One of the people who helped us get to Texas offered to pay for a second townhome for us, so I got to move next door to Erika. We still get to talk to each other, but we don’t have to share our space with each other any more. Now I have a new buddy named Ishmael to share my new home and play yard with. We along get really well. He doesn’t mind if I’m a little bit bossy. I’m in the New Directions Adoption Program here at Smiling Dog Farms. Ricky and Jay have promised to help me find a forever home. But they said I’m not to worry if that takes a while, because I’ll always be safe here in the meantime.
