Samson has one Sponsor This handsome boy is Samson. He came with his buddy, Miles, all the way from from Hinesville, Georgia to Texas. It took two long days on the road, and an overnight stop along the way, to make it here!  You can see them relaxing together on the bed at the Galveston beach house after their long journey These guys were best buddies. They roamed the streets together. They were picked up by Animal Control together. And they would have died together, if they had not come to Smiling Dog Farms! We learned about them from Tamatha and Mieke, who were both desperately looking for a rescue for Samson and Miles.  We agreed to bring them to the farm and try to find a home for them together, so these best friends would always be together. But after settling into their space at the farm, these former friends started getting crossways with each other (as male dogs will often do) so we ended up giving each of them his own space. We think that Samson may be a purebred a German Shepherd. He’s a calm, easy going boy with a great disposition. He loves to be petted and will lean up against you as you fuss over him! He generally get’s along with other dogs, but he wants to be the Alpha male, which can cause a few problems. He’s great with girl dogs, though. Samson is in our New Directions Adoption Program here at the farm. We are hoping that we’ll soon find a great family for this handsome boy.
