Oz has one Sponsor Oz came to Smiling Dog Farms all the way from New York City! His owner contacted us in October of 2010, asking if Oz could come to our sanctuary to live out his life. Oz had killed his owner's Pomeranian. This was a traumatic experience for the family, and he did not feel comfortable with Oz around his daughter or in his home any longer. But he cared about Oz and wanted to find a place for him to live where he would be safe and happy. Of course, we said "yes" and Oz came to live here at the farm. Oz is as sweet as pie with humans, but he has a pathological hatred of other dogs! Because of this, Oz has his townhome and play yard all to himself. As long as we keep him separated from other dogs, he’s a really good guy. Oz is a happy boy. You can see from these poses that he really enjoys it when it's his turn to sleep in the bed with us!
