Lucas was an elderly dog who had been abused and neglected for most of his life.  He was rescued from certain death years ago by Robert Cabral from www.boundangels.org.  Jay Hellerich from Smiling Dog Farms was contacted and agreed to take Lucas, who has sadly passed away since, but we know that his last days were his best ones.  To read about Lucas’ short but happy time at Smiling Dog Farms please click here.  In Lucas’ honor we have created this wonderful event, now on our 4th year.  All proceeds will benefit Smiling Dog Farms.  Smiling Dog Farms is a private animal sanctuary that survives solely on donations.  Their efforts to save lives is truly rare in this day and age.
