Koda & Blossom have two Sponsors This is Koda, on the left. That is his friend, Blossom, on the right. After being at Smiling Dog Farms for a while, they were introduced and they became fast friends immediately! Koda came to the farm from California. His family loved him a lot, but his behavior was unpredictable. Sometimes he would bite, and it was usually without warning. His family had a new baby on the way, and Koda just could not stay. But they wanted a safe place for Koda -- a place where he could be... well... Koda! After searching the Internet for alternatives, and having little luck, his family found Smiling Dog Farms. They asked if Koda could come live the rest of his life in peace and safety at the farm, and Ricky and Jay said "yes"! Blossom came from a family in Dallas. The family was moving and could only take two of their three dogs. Blossom was the one they elected to re-home because she was more temperamental than the others. But Blossom's family loved her and they wanted her to go to a place that was safe, and where her behavior issues would not result in her being put down. So they also called Smiling Dog Farms to see if Blossom would be able to live there, and Ricky and Jay said "yes" to Blossom, as well. Each dog needed a friend! When we introduced them, each seemed well suited for the other. It was clear from the first moment that Koda was smitten with Blossom. His whole demeanor changed. He smiled. He became calmer. And they have been best friends ever since. They have a nice big townhome with a great play yard to run around in. They play together. They nap in the sunshine together.
