Jagger has one Sponsor Meet Jagger! Jagger came to Smiling Dog Farms from Atlanta, Georgia in 2008. This beautiful boy is a classic Sanctuary Dog because he’s extremely unpredictable and very selective about his friends. Some people he likes ... others he hates. He and Jay are best buddies. He absolutely adores Jay, and the feeling is mutual. When Jagger sees or hears Jay on the grounds, he’ll bark and bark until Jay stops to visit with him. He just loves climbing onto Jay’s lap and getting hugs! But he often shows his teeth to others, and he goes bonkers when Ricky walks past his pen. Ricky must remind him of someone who treated him badly in his early life, because he clearly hates him. Jagger is also grumpy with other dogs, so he gets to have a nice big play yard to himself. Jagger is a big active boy and when he got bored with his toys he’d work on “remodeling” his house. He even managed to knock out the back wall so he could have a cross breeze and a better view. He recently benefited from the “urban renewal” project here at the farm. His old house was torn down, and thanks to the generous donations of several people, Jagger now has a new two story townhome that’s pretty indestructible. He’s got a ramp to run up and down to help him off excess energy. And he loves the view from his second floor loft. It’s open on one side and has a window on the other, so he’s got a clear view of his entire neighborhood. His play yard is under a huge live oak right next to the driveway so he can see up close every car or person who comes in or out! Jagger is happy to be here at the farm where he’s safe and secure. He gets to be himself, and Jay and Ricky don’t mind a bit if he wants to be picky about who he’ll be friends with. They love him anyway.
