She lived with her family for 3 years but no matter how hard she tried, she was still afraid of strangers.  Her life with her family came to an end when an unfamiliar lady stuck their face in the car window where Crystal was sitting in the back seat.  This scared Crystal and she accidentally bit the lady on the nose. It was a defense reaction. She didn’t mean to hurt the lady. She just wanted to tell her to back away. But because of this incident her family felt she was too unpredictable, so they sent her to live here at Smiling Dog Farms.  Here, Crystal doesn’t have to worry about strangers any more. She doesn’t feel threatened here. She can just relax and be herself, with no more worries.
