Cali has one Sponsor This beautiful girl is Cali. Cali came to Smiling Dog Farms from a family in the Dallas area. The son of the family got her when she was a pup. She had one litter of puppies when she was about two years old. All of her babies were given away to people the family knew and trusted, except for one little male that they decided to keep for themselves ... they named him Chill because of his laid back personality. When the son grew up and moved away, his parents kept Cali and Chill with them. Cali is a sweet healthy nine year old that’s very good natured and loves people. She’s also very intelligent, to the point of being bratty sometimes. She's very loyal and always wants to be where people are. She's a snuggler and loves to eat. She doesn’t like cats much, and she doesn’t care for other dogs ... except for her son Chill. As Chill matured, he showed a dominance aggression towards other dogs. The family had to stop taking him to places where there were other dogs because his size and strength made it difficult to prevent an altercation. Of course, if a disturbance started, Cali would be drawn to help defend her pup. There were two incidents with other dogs that led to them being declared dangerous dogs. The family was left with no choice. If they wanted these sweet dogs to live, they needed to find a sanctuary for them. Thankfully, they contacted Smiling Dog Farms! Chill has come to the farm with Cali. They’ve never been separated since Chill was born seven years ago, and they’ll share a new town home with a nice big play yard here at Smiling Dog Farms.
