Bubba Red has one Sponsor Bubba Red is one of our unadoptable Sanctuary dogs here at the farm. He came to us from the Dallas area. Our friends, Cathy and Kathy, had rescued him and were trying to help him. He had mange so badly he had no fur and open sores all over his poor body. They tried everything they knew, but nothing was working. That’s when they contacted us. Of course, we said “yes” that we’d take him and see what we could do to help cure his mange. As you can see, it worked! Bubba Red now has a soft thick coat and is a beautiful boy again. He is semi-feral and extremely fearful of people. He won’t bite you if you catch him, but when you go near him he will shriek and try his best to get away from you. It’s obvious from his behavior that he must have been treated very badly by someone earlier in his life. Bubba Red feels safe here at Smiling Dog Farms. He shares a townhome and play yard with Crystal, another of our Sanctuary dogs. He’s a happy boy now because here at the farm he can just be himself. We don’t handle him unless it’s absolutely necessary for his health and well being.
